The Emerging Academy (EA) follows on from the Junior Academy and caters for players in Year 7 and 8 who show real commitment and passion for cricket. EA encourages motivated young talent to be the very best that they can be. We create an environment that supports their love and thirst for the game, driving individual improvement through focused training and expert guidance.
To maintain the right working atmosphere, EA is by invitation only, based on the coaches’ prior knowledge of each player. If a player is unknown to our coaching staff, they would need to be assessed in a one-off trial before joining the programme.
EA has the benefit of exclusive use of HECC during training hours. The programme exposes young cricketers to the importance of the basics of all disciplines to provide a robust technique. Not only this EA allows them to development the game sense and awareness to be successful at a high level and leading into representative and adult cricket.
